UpRival's Targeting Features

Learn what targeting options you have access to use on all of your ad groups and ads.

Targeting allows you to show ads to specific audiences based on the conditions you set up. UpRival allows you to enable a number of targeting options to control conditions upon which your ads are being served:

  • Geo Targeting – Serves ads based on a viewer’s geographic location
  • SubID Targeting – Serves ads based on the SubID value being passed through the ad tag
  • Browser Targeting – Serves ads based on the viewer’s browser
  • IP Targeting – Serves ads based on the viewer’s IP address
  • Device Type Targeting – Serves ads based on the viewer’s device type
  • Carrier/ISP Targeting – Serves ads based on the viewer’s carrier or internet service provider name
  • IP Type Targeting – Serves ads based on the viewer’s IP type
  • Proxy IP Address Targeting – Serves ads based on whether a viewer is using an anonymous proxy server
  • User Agent – Serves ads based on the user agent string
  • Language - Serves ads based on the devices default language.
  • Operating System (OS) - serves ads based on the user's operating system.

Note:
If you have targeting set up that will potentially stop an ad from being displayed, you must have a backup ad(s) that either has the equal inverse targeting or has no targeting. If this is not done, you run the risk of being charged for an impression WITHOUT SERVING AN AD.
